Shipping/H - Pistols $35 - Rifles $55
I ship UPS/USPS ONLY.(No fedex.) Rifles going to AK/HI + $25 shipping. Each additional handgun after the 1st in same order ships for $10. Sorry NO combined shipping on rifles. - All firearms ship with signature confirmation.
FRIDAY 27th ORDERS WILL BE SHIPPING OUT BY TUESDAY 3rd
Tracking #s will be emailed by the evening of the above listed date.(Check spam.) - Emailing for updates before then will not make things go quicker.
MAILED PAYMENT OPTION - ENDING JUNE 1st
STARTING JUNE 1 2026, all orders must be paid with a card over the phone. I will not take any mailed payments after May 31st.
1HR round trip to get to the PO Box(the box costs $270 yearly), USPS being late/losing >25% of our letters, some using it as a layaway(ignoring the 7 day rule, instead sometimes delaying payment by weeks). And with just 5% of orders being mailed payment, it seems a good time to switch to card only.
Nazi K98k (937a) Mausers
**COMING SOON, THE SHOP PAGE WILL REMAIN COVERED UNTIL IM DONE EDITING IT NEXT WEEK!**
I CALL FROM A 919 AREA CODE! DON'T MISS OUT DUE TO SPAM BLOCK!
Made at the Mauser factory in 1937 Germany for the Portuguese. Identical to the K98k (plenty of waffenamts) other than an extra sling attachment on the stock, an(arguably better) upgraded front sight and the Portuguese crest on the receiver. These were made pre ww2, meaning quality was the top priority.
THE MAIN STUFF
-
1937 dated, made at the Mauser factory in Nazi Germany
-
Part of the M937A contract for Portugal
-
Fair/Good (Shooter Grade) Condition
-
C&R Eligible!
-
Surplus 8mm ammo is plentiful right now!
-
Each will come with a sling.(fair shape)
These won't win a beauty contest, they are fair/good shooter grade. Meaning expect a functional rifle but with plenty of wear/character. Including dings, dents, light rust, scratches, lots of storage grease, finish wear and NON function inhibiting crack(s) in the furniture. Many of the numbers on these will be matching but not all.. usually at least one or two parts will not match.
14 for you to choose from or just pick a dealers choice(random draw). I've pictured ALL(including all of the dealers choice) so you know exactly what you could get. PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO TO GET AN IDEA ON CONDITION!
DEALERS CHOICE?
Dealer's choice means you'll get a rifle selected at random from the #DC category. I've video/pictured this entire category so you can get an idea on condition and cosmetic possibilities. There are absolutely NO requests so that it's fair to everyone. Because "no requests" is so often ignored, I have boxed all of these up to ship, so beyond serial #, I don't know which one you'll get.

WHAT YOU GET FOR $26
1 x Winter Watch Cap W/Stalingrad Sniper Patch (Tan or Black)
1 x Soviet Maxim MG decal.
1 x Aussie L1A1 (FAL) Lizard Sticker
1 x Genuine Vietnam War Chu Hoi M16 Mag Bag
US/Ukraine Watch Cap
The US military has had a fleece "watch cap" for decades now. It's slim, can be worn with a helmet, moisture wicking, soft and WARM and well made.(mine is 15+ yrs old!) We sent some to Ukraine and their troops liked them so much that they started making them. That's where these came from, made at the same Ukrainian factory that supplies them to their soldiers. Each comes with a Vasily Zaitsev Stalingrad tribute patch.
If you don't like the patch or want to put it on something else, just use a hair dryer or heat gun for 10 or so seconds and the patch will peel off, simply apply it with heat to whatever else you'd prefer.
WTF is a "Chu Hoi" m16 mag bag?
During the vietnam war, the wet and muddy climate would cause ammo mag springs to rust. Our soldiers would also often leave a lot of junk behind after leaving an area and the VC/NVA would move in after and dig through it all to find anything useful. Enter the Chu Hoi (Open Arms) mag bag. On it in Vietnamese is a safe conduct pass to any NVA/VC that wanted to desert and come over to the south, where they'd get food, shelter and medical aid. A loaded M16 mag would be kept in the bag, when needed the bag torn open and discarded on the ground where hopefully an enemy soldier would later find it and decide he wanted a better life. The "chu hoi" program had mixed results, a lot of times the NVA/VC would desert, fatten up and then go back to their own to continue the fight. This is a genuine unused chu hoi mag bag dated 1971. It's not worth much, but makes for a cool man cave display!
LIZARD STICKER
To go along with the mag bag(and my love of the FAL and L1A1 rifle), this sticker features an Australian Blue Tongue lizard, carrying an L1A1.("SLR") The Aussies and Kiwis came to help us in Nam when nobody else did. They used many US guns(including the M16) but their main battle rifle was the L1a1. In honor of our ANZAC cousins and both a cool rifle/lizard, here's a nifty sticker.
If you like Vietnam War history, a really good movie about the Aussie battle of Long Tan is usually streaming somewhere called "Danger Close".

WHY YOUR ORDER MIGHT GO UNFILLED
With high demand for surplus right now, I'll sometimes get more orders at 10AM than available inventory. Everyone clicks "order" on the dot at 10AM so on popular lists it comes down to luck. When you click the order button, your order goes to my inbox where all orders are organized via timestamp by google. I'll then spend the rest of the day calling each person.(One man show, so it can take until later afternoon.) I'll email/call by days end even if I can't fill an order.
In short, ordering right at 10AM does not guarantee your order will be filled, it can sometimes take ordering a few different times to get your order filled.
If I could fill every order, I absolutely would. But until then I'm doing my best to get in as much inventory as possible to keep up. Thanks for reading! - Alden
ORDER FORM Feel free to include multiple choices listed in order of preference!
Everything I have is listed above. If you don't see it, I don't have it!
Military surplus firearms are USED firearms that will show signs of use from dings and scratches to rust and cracks. I try my best to describe anything that is not considered typical of surplus wear. Smaller things like scratches/dings I leave the pictures to tell the story. Ask all questions before agreeing to purchase from the Mosin Crate. By purchasing you are agreeing to the policy/return/warranty listed on the policy page. Surplus Firearms can have hidden issues, always have any firearm checked by a competent/licensed gunsmith before firing. - All prices shown are at a 3% cash discount. The Mosin Crate accepts credit/debt cards(+3%) over the phone or mailed USPS Money Orders ONLY at this time.
